| The Power Tilt Tester is a microprocessor controlled voltage measurement device. Its purpose is to verify the correct functionality of the position switch, actuator position sensor, and tilt motor on a power tilting steering column. The tester connects to the steering column position toggle switch, position sensor, and tilt motor connectors via a single interconnect harness and an Amphenol connector on the front of the small lightweight box. A small touch-screen display is conveniently located on the front of the box. The USB port on the front allows for automated software updates and data transfer to and from a USB drive. Located on the back of the tester is a PLC connector which communicates pass/fail results to the assembly line. There is also a serial port used for easy access diagnostic purposes.
